I work with women to attain a sense of balance, wellbeing and recovery using Bowen Therapy for a wide range of concerns within women’s health – including muscle and joint pain, neck, back and shoulder issues, jaw problems, fatigue, headaches and migraines, digestive issues, sinus problems, stress and tension plus much more.
Bowen Therapy is a relaxing and restorative type of bodywork in which light, targeted rolling movements across muscles, tendons
and fascia activate the body’s internal systems, including the nervous, circulatory and lymphatic systems, to encourage the body’s innate healing response.
Developed by Tom Bowen in Australia, during the 1950s, this effective, holistic technique focuses on easing pain and tension, creating relaxation and restoration, by inviting the body to return to a state of balance.
A distinctive feature of Bowen Therapy are the intentional breaks or pauses between each set of moves to allow for interoception to take place and the brain-body connection to process and integrate subtle changes in the body.
